My mom took me to Greece at 11 in 1978 and we took a smaller luxury cruiseship from Venice, Italy. We stopped a couple of times on islands and hoped back on the ship when it came back a week later. After Athens, we took the Corinth Canal. OMG!!! I still have vivid memories of standing on the deck with people on the bridges overhead waving at us. I think there was maybe 6 to 8 feet between the ship and the rock on each side! What an experience! Thanks mom! Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
