Incredibly Photorealistic Vector Art

These are NOT photographs, but drawings - vector art to be precise, created entirely using Adobe Illustrator. Vector graphics uses meshes consisting of geometrical primitives such as points, lines, curves, and polygon, which are all based on mathematical equations, to represent images in computer graphics. Vector illustrations are extraordinarily slow, painstaking work and to achieve such photorealism through vectors is just mind blowing!

  2. Urm, these are all JPGs or GIFs, neither of which is a vector graphic format.

  7. we always say that the things we see in cyber world are fake. Try to study adobe illustrator.

Those are real, check out the interview with Bert Monroy lynda at youtube.
I already made one, and it needs a lot of time

  8. That's officially the most unbelievable thing I've seen in a very long time. I can't even IMAGINE getting to that point in AI-- I have enough trouble drawing vector illustrations that look like vectors!!!

  9. Find Gradient Mesh tutorials on YouTube, learn, exercise, and you'll do it.

  10. You dont need Illustrator to do this, at all!. And you don't need to pay for their subscription or use a ridiculous mesh. The day Adobe understands there are better much easier ways to do so, many people will be able to do much more.

  11. Are these vector photos based on 3d models? what's with all these wireframe I don't understand. can someone explain?

    1. @Ahmad: It's a wireframe of the Illustrator mesh tool. you can span a wire and set colors for each point on it to create some kind of 3D-gradient. ;)
