‘Bee-Attracting’ Competition in Shaoyang, China

A curious ‘Bee attracting’ competition was held in Shaoyang, China, on July 16, 2011. The competitors stood on weighing scales, wearing only a pair of shorts, and by using queen bees they reared, tried to attract other bees onto their bodies. The total weight of the bees was read off from the weighing scale. Beekeeper Wang Dalin, 42, beat fellow beekeeper Lv Kongjiang after attracting 26 kg of bees on his body in 60 minutes, while Lv had 22.9 kg. Don’t try this at home.

  1. I'm sick and tired of hearing about these human rights abuses in China while the rest of the world does nothing.

    1. Another retard... AGAIN: AMERICA GETS A SLAP IN THE FACE EVERY TIME OT MENTIONS THIS. WHY? BECAUSE IT COMMITS MORE HUMAN ABUSE THAN MANY COUNTRIES! Examples currently being brought up in the Intl community: many of our jails & prisons beat people up, gives them junk to eat, many yet refuse people their meds. Innocent people, as in ARRESTED MISTAKENLY, HAVE DIED! Even better: 1 prison in Kern County, CA, has had high levels of ARSENIC in its water for years!!!! Nothing is being done! And our political system is rampant w bribery and yes, injustice. Our food is irradiated, our meat has do much hormone that our hormonal breast cancer rates are way higher than others, our produce is full of chemical and so had no taste or juiciness, and I can go on like this forever!
